Sciences & Technology
STEM in the Tradition of Muslim Scholars
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Coding — rigorous WAEC/NECO-aligned sciences delivered in purpose-built laboratories, grounded in the Islamic tradition of seeking knowledge as an act of worship.
Our Philosophy
Muslim Scholars Built Civilisation on Knowledge
The Islamic tradition has always regarded the study of Allah's creation as an act of worship. From Al-Khawarizmi's algebra to Ibn Sina's medicine, Muslim scholars were once the leading force of scientific advancement. At Noorut-Tawheed, we revive this tradition — producing graduates who understand that excellence in science and technology is an expression of their Deen, not a departure from it.
أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
“Have they not looked into the realm of the heavens and the earth?”
What We Teach
Six Disciplines. One Integrated Vision.
Every science subject is taught within an Islamic framework — connecting knowledge back to its divine source while preparing students for the highest academic standards.
Mathematics
الرياضيات
From arithmetic to calculus — a rigorous Mathematics programme aligned to WAEC/NECO standards, with Further Mathematics for advanced students targeting STEM tertiary programmes.
P1 – SSS3Physics
الفيزياء
Mechanics, waves, electricity, magnetism, and modern physics — taught in our Physics laboratory with practicals forming a core part of every unit. WAEC Physics aligned.
JSS1 – SSS3Chemistry
الكيمياء
Organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry — theoretical study backed by weekly laboratory practical sessions. WAEC Chemistry aligned for senior secondary.
JSS1 – SSS3Biology
الأحياء
Cell biology, genetics, ecology, human physiology — understanding the created world through the lens of science and the wonder of Allah's design. WAEC Biology aligned.
JSS1 – SSS3Computer Studies & Coding
علم الحاسوب
Hardware fundamentals, software literacy, and hands-on coding instruction — preparing students for a digital world and the growing demand for Muslim technologists.
P5 – SSS3Basic Science & Technology
العلوم الأساسية
An integrated science and technology introduction for primary students — building curiosity, observation skills, and the scientific habit of mind from an early age.
P1 – P6Facilities
Purpose-Built Learning Spaces
Real science requires real equipment. Our laboratories are fully equipped for the Nigerian secondary curriculum and beyond — because a student who has done the practical understands the theory in a way no textbook alone can achieve.
Physics Laboratory
Mechanics, optics, electricity, and waves — with full WAEC practical apparatus available to every student.
Chemistry Laboratory
Fume-cupboard equipped organic and inorganic chemistry lab with individual bench stations and safety-first protocols.
Biology Laboratory
Microscopy, dissection, and ecological materials — with specimens and models covering the full WAEC Biology syllabus.
Computer Lab
Individual workstations with internet access, coding environments, and Microsoft Office suite for all secondary students.
Examination Preparation
Examination Results That Open Doors
Our sciences programme is designed to produce five-credit WAEC/NECO results. Every lesson is aligned to the current syllabus, every practical is prepared for examination format, and every student benefits from structured revision programmes from JSS3 onwards.
WAEC
West Africa Examinations Council — SSS3 external school certificate
NECO
National Examinations Council — parallel national certificate
JAMB
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination — university entrance preparation from SSS2
Stage Adaptation
Sciences at Every Stage
From sensory wonder in Pre-Nursery and early numeracy in Nursery, through observation in the primary years to rigorous WAEC preparation in senior secondary — our sciences programme evolves with every student.
Pre-Nursery Section
Pre-Nursery Discovery (Ages 4–5)
Ages 4–5
Science for our youngest students is the wonder of Allah’s creation discovered through their own senses. They explore textures, sounds, colours, and the natural world — building the curiosity and observation skills that every great scientist begins with.
- Sensory play: water, sand, dough, and natural materials
- Nature walks in the school garden — observing leaves, insects, weather
- Colours, shapes, and counting through hands-on play
- Simple cause-and-effect experiments (sinking, floating, mixing)
- Naming animals and plants in English and Arabic
- “Allah made it” — every discovery connected back to the Creator
Nursery Section
Nursery Discovery & Numeracy (Ages 5–6)
Ages 5–6
Nursery students extend their curiosity into early numeracy, structured observation, and the first formal science vocabulary. They begin to ask why, predict what will happen, and notice the patterns Allah has placed in the world around them.
- Number recognition and counting to 20
- Simple addition and subtraction through play
- Weather charts and seasonal observation logs
- Introduction to living vs non-living, plants, and animals
- Basic shapes and early geometry through Islamic patterns
- Safe, supervised exploration of digital learning tools
Primary Section
Primary Science (P1–P6)
Ages 6–11
Young scientists need wonder before they need formulas. Our primary science programme builds curiosity about Allah's creation — through observation, simple experiments, and the consistent connection between what students learn and the natural world around them.
- Hands-on observation and simple classroom experiments
- Nature walks and environmental science in the school grounds
- Mathematics through patterns — Arabesque geometry as a mathematics entry point
- Technology literacy — safe and purposeful use of digital devices from P5
- Science fair participation annually — building presentation and enquiry skills
- All science taught with Tawheed integration: the universe points to its Creator
Secondary Section
Secondary Sciences (JSS1–SSS3)
Ages 11–18
Secondary students enter the full sciences curriculum: individual laboratory subjects, regular practicals, structured WAEC preparation, and an Islamic STEM framework that prepares Muslim scientists and technologists for the future.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology as full independent subjects from JSS1
- Weekly laboratory practicals per science subject
- Further Mathematics stream for STEM-track students
- Coding fundamentals: Python and web development from SSS1
- WAEC/NECO past paper revision programmes from JSS3
- JAMB preparation embedded from SSS2 — no last-minute cramming
